The Orion Program at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston is seeking an intern to help develop software that simulates commanding the Orion spacecraft during docking maneuvers. The intern will work on tasks such as adding configurable camera models to existing simulation software, developing new UI systems, and porting the simulation to browsers.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be a student in game design and programming, simulation development, or interactive media development
• Be a self-starter who is comfortable being given a task and tackling it independently
• Have a solid understanding of 3D and vector mathematics
• Have experience working in 3D development
• Have proficiency in C# and Unity engine
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills, both interpersonal and technical
• Have experience with web development or publishing games on web is a strongly desired, but is not strictly required.
This is a remote internship.
