Fellowship |
Each summer, Fellows are assigned to a specific department that aligns with their career goals and will provide direct and hands-on support to their team. In addition to fulfilling their job responsibilities, Fellows will also connect with professionals within the Little Island network and attend weekly professional development seminars, workshops, and neighborhood excursions highlighting New York City’s public art and public spaces. These experiences are centered around: Leadership, Financial Capability, Public Art, Public Space and Communication.
This year’s open Fellowship positions are Community Programs, Human Resources, Park Operations and Social Impact.
A successful Fellow is someone in the early stages of their chosen field with good instincts, a passion for public spaces, and an enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. They exhibit curiosity, value relationship-building in their work, and have a collaborative and motivated mindset. All Fellows will work both in the office and outdoors at the park in all types of weather.
