Internship

The New York Public Library is excited to announce we are now accepting applications for our Teen Civics Ambassadors Program—taking place over the spring semester.

We are looking for teens who are passionate about libraries, civics, and community engagement. Teen Civics Ambassadors will create exciting and fun events and resources to encourage their peers to learn about and become active participants in the community. This will include hosting branch-based programs for teens in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island, writing for NYPL’s blog about important issues, creating social media graphics, and working on a civic action research project. Ambassadors also have the opportunity to attend special events, see guest speakers, and attend library field trips.

More details are below as well as on the attached flyer and our website: nypl.org/teencivicsambassadors.

We hope you’ll share this information with your students and encourage them to apply!

Applications are now open and will close on December 2, 2024. Participants will be invited for interviews on a rolling basis. To learn more about the program and apply, visit us at nypl.org/teencivicsambassadors.
