COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ASSOCIATE
Do you have a passion for sustainability and inspiring others to keep NYC clean? The Sanitation Foundation is hiring Community Engagement Associates to lead volunteer events, support waste reduction education, and build a cleaner, greener city!
When: April–October 2025 (4–16 hours/week, weekdays & weekends)
Where: Across all 5 boroughs of NYC
Pay: $28/hour
Apply By: February 14, 2025
You’ll greet and lead volunteers, support tree care and clean-ups, and share tips on reducing waste at community events. This role is perfect for an outgoing, people-oriented person who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty and working outside.
What We’re Looking For:
Outgoing individual with excellent communication skills
Passion for sustainability and engaging with diverse groups
Strong social and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work flexible hours outdoors
Bonus Points: Bilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, or ASL) or a valid NY driver’s license!
